Acknowledgement to Country | My Mag Essentials

Published on March 14 2024

Acknowledgement to Country is an important way for My Mag Essentials to recognise and pay respect to the First Nations people connected to the land on which our small business operates.

Acknowledgement to Country

As a small business operating on Kabi Kabi Country, we would like to respectfully acknowledge the First Nations people to whom this land belongs. We recognise the importance of showing respect for Country, culture, community and the continuing connection that First Nations people have with the land.

Our acknowledgement is an expression of respect and gratitude. It is an opportunity for us to recognise the people, history and cultural connection associated with the land where we live and operate our business.

At My Mag Essentials, we believe that respect should extend beyond the products and services we provide. Being part of a community also means recognising the people and cultures that have longstanding connections to the places around us.

We acknowledge the spirit of the land and the ancestors, and we pay our respects to the strength, courage and wisdom of First Nations people, past, present and emerging.

Respecting Country

An acknowledgement provides an opportunity to pause and recognise the traditional custodians and the continuing importance of Country. It is also a reminder that businesses and communities operate within places that hold cultural meaning and significance.

Through this acknowledgement, My Mag Essentials recognises the First Nations people connected with Kabi Kabi Country and expresses our respect for their ongoing relationship with the land.

Our Commitment

This acknowledgement is shared as a sincere expression of respect from our small business. We recognise the importance of listening, learning and showing respect for First Nations people and their connection to Country.

We are grateful for the opportunity to operate our business within this community and extend our respect to First Nations people, past, present and emerging.

Thank you for taking the time to read our acknowledgement to country.
